AMERICANISM CEREMONY
{Sixty minutes}

~
Beginning
My fellow Patriotic Americans
Today is a Special Day
Because today
“United-As-One”
We shall reaffirm
The greatness
OF OUR COUNTRY
THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

And
The greatness
THAT LIVES WITH-IN
EACH AND EVERYONE OF US!
By taking part in:
AN AMERICANISM CEREMONY
“A SALUTE TO THE GREATEST NATION IN THE WORLD, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”

My name is Petty Officer Jim Cava, United States Navy Retired.  I will lead you in the ceremony.
I am a combat decorated veteran who served our country proudly as a US Navy Corpsman (a medic) attached to the 5th Marines in the Vietnam War.
As founder of Operation Red, White and Blue I continue to serve our country proudly by fostering and upholding Americanism in the United States of America.
FOR OUR CREATOR AND COUNTRY

~
To begin
OUR AMERICANISM CEREMONY
Please stand for Our National Anthem - Our Country’s Song of Greatness
And remain standing for The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag - Our Promise of Loyalty to the United States of America
My fellow Patriotic Americans
Please look at our flag and place your hands on your hearts!
“United-As-One”
Let us sing:
THE STAR SPANGLED BANNER
Oh, say can you see
By the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed
At the twilight's last gleaming
Whose broad stripes and bright stars
Through the perilous fight
O’er the ramparts we watched
Were so gallantly streaming
And the rocket's red glare
The bombs bursting in air
Gave proof through the night
That our flag was still there
Oh, say does that star spangled banner
Yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave

~
Now let us recite:

THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG
I pledge allegiance to the flag

Of the United States of America
And to the republic for which she stands
“One Nation Under God”
Indivisible

With liberty and justice for all

That was terrific!
Give yourselves a big heartfelt round of applause!

Please be seated

~

THE BATTLE  AND THE DEFENSE OF FORT MC HENRY
A TRUE ADVENTURE STORY OF OUR HONORABLE AND BRAVE PATRIOTIC AMERICANS
It was the War of 1812 and once again, America was fighting the British Empire.  The British had captured Washington DC.
They burned the White House, the Capital and many other buildings and next, they planned to capture the city of Baltimore; America's third largest city.
Fort McHenry guarded the entrance to Baltimore's important harbor and proudly flew “The Star Spangled Banner.”
The British were very sure that they would easily win the battle,

take the fort, destroy “The Star Spangled Banner” and raise their own flag in victory.
The British attack on Fort McHenry began early on September 13, 1814 in pouring rain.
All through the day and into the night, for 25 straight hours - thousands of bombs, mortars, rockets and shells battered the fort.
Five incredible things happened through that perilous fight:
1st) - “The Star Spangled Banner” was never destroyed!
2nd) - The flag pole that proudly flew “The Star Spangled Banner” never went down!
because Our Honorable and Brave Patriotic Americans inside the fort
held onto the flag pole and some even sacrificed-their-lives so that “The Star Spangled Banner” would not-go-down

3rd) - Despite their fearsome assault and tremendous fire power - the British were defeated, humiliated and forced to retreat!
4th) - The courage and fearlessness of Our Honorable and Brave Patriotic Americans in defending Fort McHenry
and protecting “The Star Spangled Banner” was superhuman and beyond compare!
5th) - After the battle, Francis Scott Key, a true American Patriot, was so inspired by our American victory

and the sight of “The Star Spangled Banner” still flying triumphantly over Fort McHenry that he wrote Our National Anthem aka “The Star Spangled Banner!”
My fellow Patriotic Americans
The moral of this story is:
How perfectly our forefathers respected our flag!
And how perfectly all Americans should respect our flag!

That which is not loved - withers and dies!
Americanism is

Loyal Support, Everlasting Love and Formidable Defense
OF
OUR COUNTRY
THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
Americanism is

Loyal Support
For the fundamental and undeniable principles for which America stands:
HONOR - To be GOOD!
LIBERTY - To be FREE!
EQUALITY - To be ONE!
JUSTICE - To be FAIR!
HUMANITY - To be KIND!

Our American Principles are basic truths and moral beliefs
That guide us and help us to know what is good and bad and what is right and wrong.

Our American Principles and Values are one and the same.
Our American Principles show us the way:
To Do - What is Right!
To Be - A Person of Good Character!  And To Be - All That We Can Be!

Our American Principles and Honorable Americans are what make our country great.
Our American Principles and Honorable Americans is the quintessence of Americanism.

“It is imperative - just and right to disassociate the principles of:
Honor, Liberty, Equality, Justice and Humanity for which America stands
From the unprincipled behavior of dishonorable Americans - no matter who they are nor pretend to be.
For Our American Principles are innately and virtuously pure / essentially and perfectly complete / exactly and irrefutably distinct
And can never be associated with the unprincipled behavior of dishonorable Americans - no matter who they are nor pretend to be.”

For The Honorable Patriotic Americans who respect our principles

OF
OUR COUNTRY
THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

~
“Americanism was The Honorable and Brave Spirit of our forefathers
Based upon an absolute moral belief and ever-faithful trust in basic human rights
Upheld and defended with invincible determination
That forged a great nation, our nation.
It is that same American Spirit that remains the lifeblood of our country
And it comes from the heart and soul of a true American.”
~  Petty Officer Jim Cava, US Navy Retired, American Patriot (1948 -

We hold these truths to be self-evident (clearly understood)
That all people are created equal
That all people are made the same
With a Heart! And With a Soul!
With a Body! And With a Mind!

That no one is better than oneself
That oneself is no better then someone else

That it is cruel and inhuman to bully someone else
That it is cruel and inhuman to torment someone else
That it is cruel and inhuman to be-mean-to someone else

That it is cruel and inhuman to make-fun-of someone else
~
That all people are endowed (presented) by their Creator
With certain (definite) unalienable (natural) rights
That among these definite natural rights are:
LIFE
That it is right for all people to LIVE!
LIBERTY
That it is right for all people to be FREE!
And the pursuit of HAPPINESS
That it is right for all people to be HAPPY!
And we do want to be happy - Don't we?
Of course we do!
Give yourselves a big heartfelt round of applause!

With
THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE
Our forefathers proclaimed to the whole world
their strong belief and faithful trust
in the basic rights of all people.
And a new and free nation was born
OUR COUNTRY
THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

THE CONSTITUTION

OF
OUR COUNTRY
The basic instrument of our government
and the supreme law of our land
founded upon the essential rights of all people
is the embodiment of democratic principles
with the promise that those essential rights
will be respected and protected.

To quote Our Sixteenth President from his Gettysburg Address:
“And that government
Of the people
By the people
For the people
Shall not perish from the earth.”

                                                           Unquote - Abraham Lincoln
{Abraham Lincoln, Sixteenth President of the United States of America (1809-1865)}
Let's hear it for:

Our Sixteenth President
Abraham Lincoln

 THE UNITED STATES IS:
The land of the free!

And the home of the brave!
And truly the greatest nation in the world!

WE HONOR YOU AMERICA
We honor you America
Our land forever blest
Defender of a world that’s lost
In turmoil and unrest
You are freedom’s guardian
On land - the air  and sea
We honor you America
God’s land of liberty

Recitation:
Hold the torch of liberty high America
High enough for all the world to see
From Bunker Hill to the Present Day
Americans have fought and died for freedom
Peace and freedom is our dream
Hold-on to that dream American
And united we can make our dream come true
And to anyone who would dare to terrorize
And overthrow our beloved country
Remember this:
We shall pay any price
Bear any burden
Meet any hardship
Support any friend
Oppose any foe
To assure the survival
And the success of liberty
So help us God

End of Recitation:

We honor you America
In honesty and trust
May all of your commitments be
Dependable and just
One great nation
Under God
Devoted, tried and true
We honor you America
Stand tall
Red, White and Blue
We give a loving salute to you

THE YANKEE DOODLE BOY
I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy
A Yankee Doodle, do or die
A real live nephew of my Uncle Sam
Born on the Fourth of July

YOU’RE A GRAND OLD FLAG
You're a grand old flag
You're a high flying flag
And forever in peace may you wave
You're the emblem of
The land I love
The home of the free and the brave
Every heart beats true
'Neath the Red, White and Blue
Where there's never a boast or brag
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
Keep your eye on the grand old flag

AMERICA
My country, 'tis of Thee
Sweet Land of Liberty
Of thee I sing
Land where my fathers died
Land of the pilgrims' pride
From every mountain side
Let Freedom ring

THE BATTLE HYMN OF THE REPUBLIC
Mine eyes have seen the glory
Of the coming of the lord
He is trampling out the vintage
Where the grapes of wrath are stored
He hath loosed the fateful lightning
Of His terrible swift sword
 His truth is marching on
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
His truth is marching on!
His truth is marching on!

Shout out your numbers loud and strong
For wher-e'er we go
You will always know
That those Caissons go rolling along!

And I had to start again
With just my children and my wife
I'd thank my lucky stars
To be livin here today
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom
And they can't take that away
And I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I know I'm free
And I wont forget the Americans who died
Who gave that right to me
And I gladly stand up
Next to you and defend her still today
‘Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God bless the USA
From the lakes of Minnesota
To the hills of Tennessee
Across the plains of Texas
From sea to shining sea
From Detroit down to Houston
And New York to L.A.
Well there's pride in every American heart
And its time we stand and say
That I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I know I'm free
And I wont forget the Americans who died
Who gave that right to me
And I gladly stand up
Next to you and defend her still today
‘Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God bless the USA.
And I'm proud to be and American
Where at least I know I'm free
And I wont forget the men and women who died
Who gave that right to me
And I gladly stand up
Next to you and defend her still today
‘Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God bless the USA

THE WIND BENEATH MY WINGS
For the Vietnam Woman's Memorial Dedication Ceremony
In Washington DC - Veterans Day 1993
Today I dedicate this special song
To All Our Honorable and Courageous - Gracious and Incomparable Patriotic American Women
Who have served and who are serving our country

To Our True American Patriots ~ To Our Unsung American Heroines
And
To All Truehearted Patriotic American Women

Thank God for you.

THE WIND BENEATH MY WINGS
It must have been cold there in my shadow

To never have sunlight on your face
You were content to let me shine

That's your way
You always walked a step behind
So I was the one with all the glory

While you were the one with the quiet strength
A beautiful face without a name, for so long

A beautiful smile to hide the pain
Did you ever know that you're my hero

And everything I would like to be
I can fly higher than an eagle

'Cause you are the wind beneath my wings

It might have appeared to go unnoticed
But I've got it all here in my heart
I want you to know I know the truth

Of course I know it
I would be nothing without you
Did you ever know that you're my hero

And everything I would like to
I can fly higher than an eagle

'Cause you are the wind beneath my wings

So I was the one with all the glory
While you were the one with the quiet strength

A beautiful face without a name, for so long
A beautiful smile to hide the pain

Did you ever know that you're my hero
And everything I would like to be
I can fly higher than an eagle
'Cause you are the wind beneath my wings

Did you ever know that you're my hero
Everything I would like to be

I can fly higher than an eagle
'Cause you are the wind beneath my wings

You are my hero
Everything I, I would like to be

I can fly higher than an eagle
'Cause you are the wind beneath my wings

'Cause you are the wind beneath my wings
Thank you! – Thank you! – Thank God for you!
You are the wind beneath my wings

AMERICAN PRISONER OF WAR
Far away - In Indo-China
I’m held captive - Imprisoned here
Can it be - I’ve been forgotten
Has my country - Deserted me
I’m an American - Who fought for freedom
Answered my country’s call
And gave my all
But you see - I’m enslaved here
Abandoned - all alone
If you remember - hear my plea
Pray for me - Set me free
Tell all the world - I’m not forgotten
Nor the blood and the tears I have shed
Endless hours of endless torment
Each lonely day, slowly I waste-away
But I maintain and I hang-on
Never yielding - I carry-on
If you remember - Hear my plea
Pray for me - Set me free
Tell all the world - I’m not forgotten
Nor the blood and the tears I have shed

If you remember - Hear my plea
Pray for me - Set me free
Tell all the world - I’m not forgotten
How much pain must I sustain
I’m an American - Who defended liberty
Answered my country’s call
And gave my all
But you see - I’m enslaved here
Abandoned - Alone
If you remember - Hear my plea
Pray for me - Set me Free
Set me free - Set me free - Set me free - Set me free
Set me free - Set me free -  Set me free

“That from these honored dead we take increased devotion
to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion.
That we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain.”
